Douglasdale Nursery School was established in 1990 and ever since we have provided quality education to our students. Our school is fully registered with the Department of Health, Department of Social Development and the Department of Education to ensure we are able to provide the best care for our children.
Mission and Vision
At Douglasdale Nursery School we offer a rich and holistic teaching environment where children are not only taught to play, but are also provided with the correct foundation to enable them to be school ready by the time they go to Grade 1. Our aim is to provide quality education, love and care to each and every child. We strive to create a fun learning environment so that every child can have a happy day at school. We provide a full and inclusive service.
School Environment
We take babies from as young as 6 weeks old and children up to Grade R. In the classroom environment we follow a CAPS aligned curriculum together with the ELDA curriculum. Our classrooms and playgrounds are large enough ensuring children can move around freely. All stationery and books are provided by the school and at no additional cost to parents.
Operating Hours
We are open from 06:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday. We are open throughout the year and only close for 3-4 weeks over the December/January period and on public holidays.
